Chapter 4 of 6

The Secret Will That Stopped My Sister's Million Dollar Wedding

Unraveling The Web Of Lies

Victoria pulled her hand back against her white gown, trying to shield the sparkling blue ring from view. Her cheeks flushed dark red under her heavy makeup as the guests began taking out their phones. Faint clicking sounds filled the hall as people recorded the rising confrontation between the sisters. Eleanor rushed forward, attempting to grab the document directly from Arthur's hands, but Arthur pulled it back sharply.

Arthur: Touch these papers again, Eleanor, and I will have security remove you myself!

Eleanor: I built this family's social status while that girl ran away to hide!

Hannah: I did not run away, Eleanor. You paid my college housing manager to throw me out.

Victoria: That was business! You didn't fit into our high-class lifestyle anyway!

The truth hit Arthur like a heavy physical blow. He staggered back slightly, resting his hand against a carved wooden pillar to keep his balance. For ten years, he believed Eleanor's stories that Hannah had rejected the family and wanted nothing to do with them. He had spent millions of dollars funding Victoria’s luxury lifestyle, buying luxury cars, expensive vacations, and funding this massive wedding estate event.

Arthur: You told me Hannah took five hundred thousand dollars and moved overseas, Eleanor.

Eleanor: She was an ungrateful child who hated our family business tradition!

Hannah: I never received a single penny from my mother's life insurance or estate trust fund.

Groom's Mother: This is an absolute disgrace! We are leaving this place immediately!

The groom’s mother grabbed her son’s arm and pulled him away from the flower arch. The groom looked back at Victoria with a look of deep distrust before turning his back on her completely. Victoria let out a sharp cry, reaching toward him, but her thick gown slowed her down on the polished floor.

Victoria: Wait! Steven, please don't leave! We can still sign the marriage papers!

Groom: My family lawyer warned me about your mother's messy finances last week!

Victoria: It isn't my fault! My mother handled all the inheritance paperwork!

Hannah: You knew about the forged will too, Victoria. I saw the emails from your attorney.

Hannah reached back into her pocket and pulled out a stapled stack of printed email records. She held them out toward Arthur, who took them with cold, calculated focus. The email chains clearly showed Victoria and Eleanor discussing how to keep the estate trust fund hidden from Hannah until the statue of limitations ran out.

Arthur: You both plotted to steal Clara's legacy right under my own roof...

Eleanor: Arthur, listen to me, we did it to protect the company reputation!

Hannah: You did it out of pure greed, Eleanor, and now the bill is due.
