Chapter 6 of 6
The Spoiled Son Demanded Her Money Until She Revealed Everything
Justice Restored
The lead federal agent stepped forward, pulling a pair of handcuffs from his utility belt.
Agent: Eleanor Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny, bank fraud, and document forgery.
Eleanor: You are making a huge mistake, my lawyers will have this dismissed in hours!
Agent: You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can be used in court.
Eleanor was led out of the boardroom in handcuffs past dozens of shocked company employees.
Mark remained sitting in his chair, shaking uncontrollably as he looked up at his stepsister.
Mark: Clara, please, I did not know she forged those legal papers, I swear to you!
Clara: You knew enough to help her cover up the missing funds every single month.
Mark: Please do not let them arrest me too, Clara, I am begging for your mercy!
Clara looked down at him, remembering his cruel words near the drink cart last night.
Clara: You are receiving exact justice, Mark, nothing more and nothing less today.
Two officers stepped forward and escorted Mark out of the building to join his mother.
Arthur Vance closed his briefcase and walked over to Clara with a warm, respectful smile.
Arthur: Your father would be exceptionally proud of how you handled this entire situation, Clara.
Clara: I only did what was necessary to protect his memory and his life's work.
Arthur: The board of directors is waiting online to confirm your official appointment as Chief Executive.
Clara walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the city skyline below her office.
The sun was shining brightly, illuminating the vast city where her father built his legacy.
She took a deep breath, feeling a profound sense of relief and peace in her heart.
The long battle was finally over, and the truth had triumphed over greed and deception.
She turned back toward the table, ready to take her rightful place leading the company.
