Chapter 2 of 6

The Spoiled Son Demanded Her Money Until She Revealed Everything

Confrontation Near The Stage

Eleanor stepped down from the wooden platform, holding a glass of expensive white wine in her hand.

Her diamond necklace caught the light, sparkling brightly against her dark silk designer gown.

Clara walked directly into her path, blocking her way toward the VIP lounge section.

Clara: We need to talk about the missing trust fund transfers from last month, Eleanor.

Eleanor: This is neither the time nor the place for your petty jealousy, young lady.

Clara: It is not jealousy when forty million dollars disappeared from the main corporate account.

Eleanor: That money was reorganized under legal authority granted to me as executive chairperson.

Clara: You signed those transfer documents hours before my father passed away in the hospital.

Eleanor's cold expression flickered for a fraction of a second before her mask returned.

She lowered her glass and glared at Clara with absolute contempt and cold disgust.

Eleanor: You have no standing in this firm, and you will leave this building immediately.

Clara: I hold thirty percent of the original common voting shares through my mother's estate.

Eleanor: Those shares were invalidated during the last board restructuring meeting two weeks ago.

Clara: You held that vote without notifying me or my legal counsel in writing.

Several board members standing nearby stopped talking and began watching the tense interaction closely.

Mark rushed over from the bar area, his maroon suit coat flying open as he hurried.

Mark: Don't talk to mother like that!

Clara: Stay out of this, Mark, because you do not even understand what she did!

Mark: I said leave her alone right now!

Mark reached out aggressively and shoved the silver drink cart directly into Clara's path.

The cart slammed against the hardwood oak floor, sending glass wine goblets crashing down.

Loud gasps echoed through the banquet hall as shattered glass scattered across the polished floor.

The waiter stepped back in horror as red wine spilled across the crisp white tablecloths.

Mark stood breathing heavily, pointing a finger directly into Clara's pale, calm face.

Mark: You are finished here, Clara!

Clara: You just destroyed any remaining chance your mother had at settling this quietly.

Eleanor: Call security and have this delusional girl escorted straight out to the street!

Clara did not flinch, nor did she step back from the broken glass on the floor.

She looked straight into Mark's eyes with a look of pure, unshakeable confidence.

The entire room had fallen completely silent as everyone waited to see what would happen next.
