Chapter 5 of 6
The Spoiled Son Demanded Her Money Until She Revealed Everything
The Boardroom Showdown
At nine o'clock the next morning, Eleanor and Mark walked proudly into the executive boardroom.
They were wearing expensive clothes, expecting to conduct a routine meeting with company executives.
Instead, they found six federal officers and four estate lawyers sitting around the marble table.
Arthur Vance stood up from the head of the table, holding a thick stack of court papers.
Arthur: Good morning, Mrs. Eleanor, please take a seat alongside your son right now.
Eleanor: What is the meaning of this intrusion into my private corporate headquarters?
Mark: Get these people out of our building before I call our legal team!
Arthur: I suggest you read this emergency federal court injunction before taking any action.
The door behind them opened slowly, and Clara stepped inside wearing a tailored navy suit.
Her expression was calm, professional, and entirely devoid of any fear or uncertainty today.
Clara: Good morning, Mark, I told you yesterday that this moment would come quickly.
Mark: You cannot do this to us, Clara, this company belongs to my mother!
Arthur: Actually, according to the authenticated will filed yesterday, Clara owns fifty-one percent of voting shares.
Eleanor: That will is fake, my husband signed everything over to me before he died!
Arthur: The court handwriting experts have already confirmed your document was forged three weeks ago.
Eleanor's face lost all color as she gripped the back of an executive chair for balance.
Mark looked back and forth between his mother and the federal agents in sheer panic.
Mark: Mother, what is he talking about, you told me everything was totally legal!
Eleanor: Keep your mouth shut, Mark, do not say another word in front of them!
Clara: The forensic audit revealed every offshore transfer you made over the past two years.
Arthur: Federal marshals have already frozen every account associated with your shell company in Panama.
Mark fell back into a leather chair, placing his head in his hands as reality sank in.
The arrogance he had displayed at the banquet hall night was now completely shattered.
