Chapter 4 of 6

She Was Thrown Out Until They Saw Her VIP Pass

Uncovering The Truth

Charlotte walked into the grand hall with absolute confidence, her head held high. The hardwood oak floors glistened under huge crystal chandeliers that hung from the white crown molding far above. The hall was filled with rich furniture, antique oil paintings, and massive displays of fresh flowers. Near the far wall, a large framed American flag painting sat inside a gilded wooden frame, catching the soft glow of the recessed ceiling lights. Dozens of wealthy guests turned their heads as Charlotte entered, their eyes following her simple outfit with a mixture of curiosity and newfound respect.

Behind her, Victoria scurried into the hall, trying desperately to avoid the stares of her acquaintances. Her confidence was entirely gone, replaced by a deep sense of embarrassment that made her walk fast with her head down. She tried to blend into the crowd near the bar, but people stepped away from her, whispering behind their glasses. The story of what had happened at the front entrance was already spreading like wildfire from group to group. Everyone now knew that Victoria had tried to kick out the billionaire's personal guest.

Charlotte moved through the crowd smoothly, ignoring the soft murmurs that followed her every step. She spotted an elderly man sitting in a high-backed leather chair near the center of the room. Arthur Valle sat with a wooden cane resting between his knees, surrounded by corporate executives and lawyers. When his eyes landed on Charlotte, a bright smile broke across his weathered face. He pushed himself up from his chair with the help of his cane and stepped forward to greet her warmly in front of the entire room.

Arthur Valle: Charlotte, my dear! I am so glad you finally made it.

Charlotte: Hello, Mr. Valle. Thank you for inviting me to your home.

Arthur Valle: You look just like your father. Bold, honest, and completely real.

Charlotte: I had a small problem at the front door, but I handled it.

Arthur Valle: Problem? Did someone disrespected you in my house?

Arthur's deep voice carried across the quiet room, making several guests freeze in place. He glanced past Charlotte's shoulder and locked his sharp eyes directly onto Victoria, who was standing near the champagne table. Victoria flinched, almost dropping her glass onto the rug. The entire ballroom fell into a tense, heavy silence as Arthur tapped his heavy wooden cane against the floor three times, signaling for complete attention from everyone present.

Arthur Valle: Listen to me, everyone. Today is a very important day for my family.

Arthur Valle: I am announcing my final will and the future of my estate today.

Arthur Valle: This young woman standing beside me holds the key to everything I own.

A collective gasp rippled through the gathered crowd. Victoria's face drained of all color as she gripped the table edge for balance. The young woman she had called dirty trash was not just a guest. She was about to be revealed as the primary heir to one of the largest fortunes in the entire country.
