Chapter 2 of 6

His Spoiled Sister Demanded Everything Until The Police Showed Up

The Broken Plate Spills Truth

The anger that had been building inside Sarah for six long months finally erupted. She looked at Mark's smug face, then at Chloe's mocking smile, and finally at Patricia's cold, expectant glare. None of them respected her. None of them saw her as a human being who worked hard to provide for herself. They only saw a push-over who would bend to their every whim. Sarah looked down at the dinner plate in her hand, filled with food she had bought with her own money after working until her feet bled.

Sarah: I am NOT your servant!

With all the strength left in her tired body, Sarah swung her arm and hurled the ceramic plate directly across the kitchen. The dish flew through the air and exploded against the tiled wall into dozens of sharp, shattered pieces. Roasted meat and broken porcelain scattered across the polished floor, splashing grease over the baseboards. Chloe let out a high-pitched scream and jumped back, covering her face as if she were in danger, while Patricia gasped and covered her mouth in absolute shock. The room went dead silent except for the heavy sound of Sarah's rapid breathing.

Mark: Are you completely out of your mind? Look at the mess you just made in my house!

Sarah: Your house? You don't pay a single cent toward the mortgage, Mark!

Sarah stepped forward, her eyes blazing with a fierce intensity that Mark had never seen before. Mark raised his finger and pointed it aggressively at her face, stepping closer to intimidate her as he usually did when they argued.

Mark: You listen to me right now! As long as you are with me, you will respect my family!

Before Mark could finish his sentence, Sarah's hand flew forward. A loud, sharp slap echoed through the kitchen as her palm hit Mark's cheek with incredible force. Mark's head snapped to the side, his hand instantly clutching his reddened face in disbelief. Chloe shrieked again, stepping behind her mother while Patricia glared at Sarah with pure hatred.

Mark: You just laid hands on me! You are going to regret that, Sarah!

Sarah: I regret letting a leech like you into my life! Get your hands off me and get out!

Patricia: How dare you strike my son! He is the best thing that ever happened to a nobody like you!

Sarah: Your son is a liar and a thief, Patricia! And both of you are getting kicked out tonight!

Mark's expression shifted from shock to pure, unbridled rage. He realized that Sarah was no longer under his control and that his comfortable free ride was slipping away right before his eyes. He noticed Sarah's cellphone sitting on the counter right next to her handbag. Knowing that she might call the police or her lawyer, he lunged forward and snatched the device off the granite surface before she could reach for it.

Mark: You aren't calling anyone! You are going to sit down and calm the hell down right now!

Sarah: Give me back my phone, Mark! Touch me again and see what happens!

Sarah lunged toward him to reclaim her property, but Mark shoved her shoulder, sending her stumbling back against the kitchen island. Chloe quickly rushed over to Mark's side, grabbing his arm frantically as she realized the situation was spiraling far beyond what they could handle. The cozy home had turned into a battleground, and the illusions of control that Mark held were shattering just like the dinner plate on the floor.
