Chapter 4 of 6

A Wealthy Heir Assaulted A Female Cop And Regretted It

The Mansion On Paper

The following morning, news of the assault and the massive financial scandal broke across every major television channel in the city. Front-page headlines featured side-by-side photos of Justin's violent arrest and his luxury waterfront mansion. The public reaction was swift and merciless, with thousands demanding full prosecution without any special treatment for the fallen socialite.

Out on bail under strict electronic monitoring, Justin sat in the grand library of his fifty-room estate overlooking the ocean. The air inside the cavernous house felt heavy and cold, stripped of its former glory. Removal vans were already parked along the curved driveway as bank officials processed court-ordered asset seizure notices. His luxury car collection had already been towed away under state asset forfeiture laws.

His phone rang continuously, but every call was from creditors, bank trustees, or news reporters seeking official comments. Attorney Sterling stood by the tall marble fireplace, packing his leather briefcase with a grim expression on his face. The high-priced lawyer was no longer smiling or offering smooth reassurances to his client.

Justin Vance: You said you could fix this! We pay you two thousand dollars an hour!

Attorney Sterling: The bank accounts have been frozen by the state attorney general.

Justin Vance: Transfer funds from the offshore holding accounts immediately!

Attorney Sterling: Those accounts were seized three hours ago under court order.

Justin Vance: What about my primary residence? This mansion belongs to me!

Attorney Sterling: The deed was signed under fraudulent power of attorney. You own nothing here.

A sharp knock sounded at the double front entrance doors, echoing through the huge empty marble hallway. Two state marshals stepped inside, accompanied by Officer Sarah Blake and a legal representative from the genuine Vance trust fund. Sarah carried a leather clipboard containing an official notice of immediate eviction and asset inventory execution.

Justin walked out into the grand foyer, his eyes burning with deep resentment as he saw Sarah standing in his home. She looked calm, sharp, and entirely focused on performing her legal duties without personal malice. The dark purple mark on her jaw was a clear reminder of his senseless violence from the day before.

Justin Vance: You planned this whole thing to destroy my life!

Officer Sarah Blake: You destroyed your own life when you decided to break the law, Justin.

Justin Vance: You were waiting for me outside that courthouse yesterday!

Officer Sarah Blake: I was serving an asset lien on your car. You chose to commit assault.

Justin Vance: My family built this city! You cannot kick me out of my own home!

Estate Trustee: This home never belonged to you, Mr. Vance. Please step outside the premises.

The state marshals stepped forward, placing hand on their holsters as a clear warning to cooperate without further disruption. Justin looked around at the towering crystal chandeliers, the priceless oil paintings, and the custom marble staircases that had defined his privileged existence. Everything he had taken for granted was being stripped away in an instant, leaving him with nothing but his own bitter actions.

He slowly reached into his suit jacket and pulled out his gold house keys, tossing them onto the polished marble table. He took one last look at the grand entryway before being escorted down the front steps toward a waiting taxi. The gates of the massive estate closed behind him with a heavy metallic clang that echoed through the quiet neighborhood.
