Chapter 2 of 6
A Wealthy Heir Assaulted A Female Cop And Regretted It
The Siren Burst Echoes
Officer Marcus Reed had been walking out of the courthouse precinct entrance when he heard the sudden commotion. He saw his partner hit the concrete and immediately drew his radio while sprinting down the front stairs. His heavy boots thundered against the stone as his heart hammered against his chest in absolute fury. He pointed directly at the man standing over Sarah's grounded form.
Officer Marcus Reed: Get your hands off my officer right now!
Justin Vance: Stay back! She touched my property first!
Officer Marcus Reed: Do not move a single inch!
Justin Vance: I am Justin Vance! You cannot touch me!
Marcus reached his partner's side and quickly shielded her body while keying his shoulder microphone. He blared urgent distress codes into the radio system, triggering immediate emergency responses across the central district. Within seconds, distant sirens began to wail through the tall skyscraper canyons surrounding the municipal square. The pitch of the sirens grew louder and faster with every passing beat.
Justin did not run or show any remorse. He simply reached into his pocket to pull out a silver cigarette case, tapping a custom cigarette against his thumb. He looked down at Sarah with complete coldness in his dark eyes while she slowly sat up, clutching her aching side. She caught her breath, fighting through the sharp ache to evaluate her surroundings like a true professional.
Officer Sarah Blake: Marcus... I am okay. Keep your distance from him.
Officer Marcus Reed: He just assaulted a uniform officer on camera.
Justin Vance: You two are utter nobodies in this city. My family pays your salaries.
Officer Marcus Reed: You are going to jail today, Mr. Vance.
Justin Vance: Call whoever you want. My estate lawyers will clear this in an hour.
Suddenly, the sound of screeching tires tore through the air from three different directions at once. Four heavy black police SUVs swerved hard around the corner, their emergency lights flashing bright red and blue against the glass buildings. They angled their front bull-bars directly toward Justin's white sports car, effectively boxing it into the curb. Dust and rubber smoke rose into the humid air as doors flew open simultaneously.
Eight tactical officers stepped out with weapons drawn, their heavy boots slamming against the street in unison. They fanned out in a wide tactical circle, blocking every possible escape route along the public plaza. The raw authority of the response stunned the gathering crowd of spectators, who immediately pulled out their phones to record everything.
Justin stared at the heavy wall of black uniforms surrounding him, his cigarette dropping from his fingers onto the street. The confident smirk on his smooth face crumbled into sudden confusion and growing panic. He turned around slowly in a full circle, finding nowhere to run and no room to breathe. The cold reality of the situation finally began to puncture his bubble of extreme privilege.
Justin Vance: Who are you people? What is the meaning of this force?
Tactical Officer: Get down on the ground right now!
Justin Vance: Do you know who my father is?
Tactical Officer: Face down on the pavement! Now!
Justin Vance: This is a massive mistake! I am the heir to Vance Enterprises!
Two officers moved in with lightning speed, grabbing Justin by his arms and forcing him down to the hard road. His expensive white designer suit dragged through grease and dirt as steel handcuffs clicked tightly around his wrists. He let out a loud yell of indignation, his face pressed flat against the pavement he had just forced Sarah onto seconds before.
