Chapter 1 of 5
The Bride Staring At The Bandaged Woman She Believed Dead
The Wedding Day Drama Begins
The grand hall was filled with soft morning daylight pouring through the tall glass windows.
White roses rested on every shiny wooden table across the vast reception area.
Clara stood near the mirror and adjusted the heavy silver frame on the table.
She felt completely ready for the biggest day of her whole adult life.
Her rich fiancé was waiting near the altar with a warm smile on his face.
Everything about the lavish setting seemed totally perfect to the waiting crowd.
The high oak ceilings reflected the soft glow of the morning sun outside.
Guests were chatting happily about the huge fortune tying these two families together.
Clara took a long deep breath and smoothed down her long silk gown.
She had worked for months to secure this social standing in the city.
Her family business was about to merge with an even larger real estate empire.
Nothing was supposed to go wrong during this carefully planned public event.
Suddenly the heavy double doors at the back of the hall creaked open slowly.
A cold breeze swept into the room and blew out several small decorative candles.
The guests stopped talking and turned their heads toward the open doorway.
A figure stood alone on the threshold wearing a long tan trench coat.
Her face was almost completely wrapped in white surgical bandages.
Only her pale blue eyes were visible underneath the thick cloth wrapping.
Clara froze in place as her heart began to beat wildly inside her chest.
She dropped her expensive flower bouquet onto the polished hardwood floor.
The stranger walked down the center aisle without making any sound at all.
Every eye in the room followed the mysterious woman in the trench coat.
Groom: Who is that woman walking down the aisle?
Clara: I have no idea who this crazy person is!
Bride: Get her out of my sight!
Bride: Call security right now!
The stranger stopped just a few feet away from the wedding party.
She stared right into Clara's eyes with an intense glare.
Bandaged Woman: You look like you just saw a ghost Clara.
Clara pointed a trembling finger at the woman's face.
Bride: You need to leave this building immediately!
Bandaged Woman: I am not going anywhere until everyone knows the truth.
The crowd gasped louder as the tension in the room grew thicker.
Clara stepped forward to block the groom from seeing the stranger's eyes.
Her face turned red with explosive anger as she clenched her small fists.
Bride: Stay away from my family!
Bandaged Woman: You signed my death certificate three months ago.
The words echoed loudly off the high walls of the silent hall.
Clara gasped and pulled her costly emerald necklace tighter around her throat.
She could not believe what she was hearing in front of everyone.
The stranger took one step closer to the decorated altar area.
Bandaged Woman: You took my inheritance when you told everyone I died.
Bride: You are lying to everyone in this room!
Bandaged Woman: And you stole my whole life while I was unconscious.
The room went completely silent as the groom stepped back in confusion.
Clara's face turned completely pale as her confidence vanished into thin air.
She realized her safe world was crumbling right in front of her eyes.
The stranger raised a hand and pointed straight at the bride's heart.
Bandaged Woman: But the grave was far too shallow for me.
