Chapter 3 of 5

Arrogant Salesman Slaps Poor Man Who Turns Out To Be Owner

The Identification Card Exposed

Arthur flipped the leather holder open with a swift wrist motion and held it directly in front of Chad's eyes. Inside rested an official corporate identification card featuring a holographic crest and silver lettering. The words printed across the top were impossible to mistake: VANCE ENTERPRISE - GLOBAL OWNER & FOUNDER. Below the title was Arthur's clear photograph alongside high-level clearance codes.

Chad stared at the card, his eyes widening in pure horror. The color drained completely from his face, leaving him pale and trembling. The name Arthur Vance was legendary across the entire luxury retail industry. He was the billionaire founder who built this retail empire from nothing over fifty hard years. The quiet old man in the brown coat was Chad's ultimate boss.

Arthur: I OWN THIS ENTIRE STORE AND EVERY BUILDING ON THIS BLOCK.

Chad: Sir... I... Oh god... I am so sorry! I didn't know it was you!

Arthur: You thought I was poor, so you treated me like an animal. Is that correct?

Chad: No! I mean... I was just trying to protect the store inventory! Please understand!

Arthur: You raised your hand against a customer simply because of the coat he wore today.

Chad took a staggering step backward, his knees shaking uncontrollably under his expensive suit trousers. He dropped his hands to his sides, bowing his head in total humiliation. The surrounding shoppers began whispering, realizing they were witnessing the dramatic downfall of an arrogant salesman. Sarah stepped out from behind her desk, moving quickly toward her legendary employer.

Sarah wore pristine white gloves, holding a plush velvet tray containing the flagship diamond necklace Arthur had been admiring. She stepped around the trembling Chad, ignoring him completely, and bowed respectfully toward the elderly founder. Arthur smiled gently at Sarah, acknowledging her professionalism and respect despite the tense scene that had just unfolded.

Sarah: Welcome to the Fifth Avenue flagship location, Mr. Vance. It is a true honor, sir.

Chad: Mr. Vance, please! I have a mortgage and a car payment! Give me one chance!

Arthur: You showed your true character today when you thought nobody was watching your behavior.

Chad: I will apologize on my knees! Please don't destroy my career over one mistake!

Arthur: It was not a mistake, Chad. It was an accurate demonstration of your cruel nature.
