Chapter 4 of 6
A Rich Heir Slapped His Wealthy Bride At Their Gala
Justice Takes Control
Mark kept his steady hand on Sarah's arm, making sure she felt safe and protected now. He turned toward the lead security guards who were standing nearby, waiting for his direct command. The head of security stepped forward immediately, his face serious and ready to follow orders. Victoria backed away slowly toward the glass doors, looking for any way to escape the embarrassment. But two large guards moved swiftly to block her exit route, standing tall in their suits.
Mark: SECURITY, TAKE HER AWAY!
Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you know who my father is?!
Mark: Your father's estate is in foreclosure, Victoria. I know all about your real situation now.
Victoria: Mark, please! Do not call the police on me! We can fix this privately!
Mark: You did not offer Sarah a private chat when you tried to destroy her life.
The security officers grabbed Victoria firmly by her upper arms, ignoring her screaming and kicking movements. They marched her straight across the grand ballroom floor while hundreds of guests watched her disgrace. Her expensive designer heels dragged against the floor as she wept loud, messy tears of anger. The heavy oak doors opened, and she was tossed out into the main lobby to wait for police. The room erupted into a wave of excited chatter as people discussed the wild turn of events.
Mark took a deep breath and turned back toward Sarah, who was still trying to calm down. He picked up a clean glass of water from a nearby tray and handed it to her. Sarah took the glass with shaking hands and took a small sip, nodding her thanks softly. Mark knew that simply clearing her name was not enough after the awful nightmare she endured. He wanted to make sure she was rewarded for her honesty and hard work over the years.
Mark: Sarah, I am so deeply sorry for what just happened to you here tonight.
Sarah: It is okay, Mr. Mark. I am just glad the truth came out in the end.
Mark: It is not okay. You were treated terribly by someone who should have known better.
Sarah: I was so scared I was going to jail. My mother relies on my paycheck for medicine.
Mark: You will never have to worry about money or medicine ever again. I promise you that.
Mark called his personal corporate lawyer over to the center of the room with a wave. The lawyer opened his leather briefcase and pulled out a gold pen alongside important trust fund documents. Mark signed his name quickly on the paper, making an immediate legal change to his company's operations. He handed the pen back to his lawyer and turned to address the remaining crowd of guests. The ballroom grew quiet once again as everyone waited to hear what the heir had to say.
