Chapter 4 of 6

A Bitter Groom's Mother Rips Her New Bride's Cheap Dress

The Truth Breaks the Silence

The room fell into a heavy, suffocating silence as the realization settled over everyone present. Hannah stood completely still, her heart pounding against her ribs as she looked at the woman crying on the floor. All her life, she had wondered who her biological family was, why they had abandoned her, and why she was left with nothing but a small green stone.

Hannah: I am not your daughter... my mother wouldn't be so cruel to me.

Margarethe: My sweet baby... I searched for you for years! They stole you from me!

Julian: Wait, if Hannah is my sister... then who is the woman you tried to make me marry last month?

Margarethe looked up, her expression turning into sheer panic as she remembered the lawyer who had handled her family trust fund for two decades. It was Mr. Vance's old partner who had managed the orphanage system in the city, controlling the life insurance payouts and taking half the family estate after the kidnapping story was settled in court.

She stood up quickly, her dark purple gown dirty from the floor, and grabbed Hannah's hands. But Hannah pulled her arms back, stepping behind Julian for protection. The trauma of being attacked and called trash only minutes ago was too fresh to be washed away by sudden tears and cheap excuses.

Hannah: Don't touch me! You tore my dress and kicked me out like trash!

Margarethe: I didn't know... I was so blind and filled with stupid pride!

Julian: You treated her like dirt because she didn't come from a rich family, mother. You did this to yourself.

Outside the suite, guests were whispering as the delay grew longer and longer. The wedding coordinator tapped on the open door, holding a clipboard with a nervous look on her face. She saw the torn dress, the ruined gown, and the billionaire owner of the estate weeping on her knees in front of two angry young people.

Coordinator: Mrs. Vance, the judge is ready for the ceremony... should we cancel?

Margarethe: No! Call my private lawyer immediately! I need a DNA test right now, and I want the state police called to investigate the city orphanage trust fund!

The coordinator ran down the hall to execute the orders, realizing something massive had just collapsed inside the high-society empire. Julian wrapped his suit jacket around Hannah's shoulders, covering the torn back of her dress gently while holding her hand tight. He looked at his mother with cold disappointment, refusing to move an inch closer to her.
