Chapter 3 of 5

My Dad Hidden Secret Floorboard Box Ruined His Wedding Day

The Unraveling Of A Tycoon

Standing in the center of the wedding reception hall, Mark felt his entire carefully constructed life falling apart before his very eyes. The silence in the ballroom was so dense that the quiet humming of the air conditioning unit sounded like a roaring wind. Clara Bennett stood rigid beside the head table, staring at her new husband with deep suspicion and growing horror in her eyes. Clara came from a respected family of judges and attorneys who valued honor, public honesty, and strict legal compliance above all else. She had agreed to marry Mark because he presented himself as a self-made philanthropist who cared deeply about his family and community. Seeing him sweat uncontrollably while trembling before his own small child made her stomach turn with sudden disgust and confusion.

Clara: Mark, answer me right now. What is inside that case?

Mark: It is nothing, Clara! Just old corporate trash!

Leo: He is lying, Clara. Look at these papers.

Leo reached into the side pocket of his wool jacket, pulling out a folded duplicate copy of his mother's original legal will. He held the paper high in the air so the nearest guests could see the official court stamps and dark blue ink signatures. Mark lunged forward across the head table, knocking over a crystal goblet of red wine that spilled across the pristine tablecloth. The dark red liquid pooled around Clara's white bridal gown, looking like a stain that could never be cleaned away or forgotten. Mark reached out his hand to snatch the paper, but Leo stepped backward gracefully, dodging his father's desperate, clumsy attempt to grab it.

Leo: You stole my mother's life insurance money.

Mark: Shut your mouth! Security, get this kid out!

Guest: Let the boy speak, Mark!

An influential state judge sitting at the head table stood up slowly, placing a heavy hand on Mark's trembling shoulder to hold him back. The judge looked down at the pale groom with a stern, cold expression that signaled the immediate end of Mark's high society protection. The judge took the folded paper directly from Leo's small hand, unfolding it carefully to scan the contents with sharp legal eyes. As the judge read through the official bank records and hidden offshore transfer receipts, his eyebrows raised in genuine shock and anger. He looked up from the document, staring directly at Mark with a look of utter disgust that echoed through the quiet room.

Judge: This is a certified bank ledger from three years ago.

Mark: That document is fake! It was forged!

Judge: This bears an official state notary seal, Mark.

Clara: You lied to me about your first wife!

Clara stepped away from Mark, pulling her long white silk train out of the spilled red wine that covered the hardwood floor. Tears of shame and realization welled up in her eyes as she realized the kind of man she had just married. The wealthy guests around the room began whispering loudly, their initial surprise morphing into open anger and total condemnation of Mark Vance. Mark looked around the massive room, searching for a single friendly face among his business partners, but everyone looked away in disgust. His carefully crafted image as an honorable, successful real estate billionaire was dissolving in front of hundreds of influential community members.

Mark: Clara, please listen to me for one second!

Clara: Do not touch me! Don't even look at me!

Leo: There are more pages in the briefcase, Judge.

Judge: Hand the entire case over to me, son.

Leo passed the heavy black metal briefcase directly into the hands of the respected judge, who set it firmly upon the head table. Mark took a step back, hitting the back of his chair as his strength completely faded, leaving him looking broken and defeated.
