Chapter 4 of 5

A Wealthy Passenger Slapped Her But Regretted It Instantly

Security Takes Over

Four uniformed airport police officers burst through the crowd, their hands on their duty belts as they assessed the situation. They saw Elena kneeling calmly over the prone businessman, holding him securely in a professional defensive restraint. The lead officer, a veteran named Sergeant Miller, immediately recognized the lock Elena was using and held up his hand to tell his men to take standard precautions.

Sergeant Miller: Officers, get the handcuffs ready. Ma'am, are you injured?

Elena: I was struck on the face, Officer. I have secured the suspect. He is non-compliant and aggressive.

Sergeant Miller: Copy that. We will take it from here. On my count, release your hold.

Elena nodded and smoothly backed away as two officers moved in, grabbing Richard's wrists and securing them in heavy steel handcuffs. They pulled the groaning man to his feet, tucking his disheveled tie back into his coat. Richard immediately began screaming at the officers, his voice crackling with rage as he tried to pull away from their grip.

Richard: Arrest her! She attacked me! Look at my arm, she almost broke it! I want her put in jail immediately!

Sergeant Miller: Sir, keep your mouth shut. We have video cameras covering every inch of this counter, plus twenty witnesses holding up phones. You are the one in handcuffs.

Richard: You don't know who I am! I am Richard Sterling! I own half the real estate in this city!

Sergeant Miller: I don't care if you own the moon, sir. You just slapped an airline employee on federal property. That makes this a felony charge.

Elena adjusted her uniform jacket and picked her cap up off the floor, brushing away the dust. She stood tall, meeting Richard's angry glare without a single trace of fear in her eyes. The swell of red on her cheek was visible, but her posture was entirely dignified and strong. She stepped closer to him, looking him straight in the eyes while the officers held him firmly in place.

Elena: Respect isn't optional. Assault has consequences.

Richard: You ruined my life... you ruined everything!

Elena: You ruined your own day the moment you decided your money made you superior to another human being.

The police officers began walking Richard down the long concourse toward the airport holding facility. Passengers stepped back to let them pass, many of them chuckling and pointing at the disheveled tycoon. His ten million dollar meeting in London was officially canceled, replaced by a trip to the local precinct booking desk. As he was led away, Elena took a deep breath, collecting her thoughts before turning back to her computer terminal.
