Chapter 2 of 6

When The Mother In Law Sabotaged The Wedding Glass

The Poison In The Glass

Clara raised the sparkling crystal glass toward her lips with a sweet smile.

She took a quick sip before anyone in the big hall could speak up.

A terrible burning taste filled her mouth and throat within a single second.

She gasped loudly and dropped the crystal glass onto the hard oak floor.

The glass shattered into tiny shiny pieces across the clean hardwood room floor.

Clara clutched her throat while struggling to catch her breath in front of guests.

Her knees buckled instantly as room spun around her in terrifying dark circles.

She fell down hard onto the floor while guests screamed out in deep horror.

George rushed across the wide room from the far side of the bar.

He knelt down beside his young daughter and lifted her shaking shoulders carefully.

George: Wake up sweetie please open your eyes for your dad!

Clara: My chest hurts so much dad I cannot breathe right now!

George: Somebody call an emergency ambulance to this venue right now!

David sprinted over to Clara's side with utter panic written across his face.

He dropped to his knees and held her cold hand in his own.

David: What happened to her she was completely fine a minute ago!

George noticed the broken glass pieces lying near Clara's white bridal shoes.

He leaned down carefully to pick up a wet piece of broken glass.

A strong harsh chemical smell filled his nostrils as he sniffed the liquid.

George: This glass smells like dangerous industrial cleaning chemical solution!

David: Who would bring something like that near our official wedding toast!

Evelyn stood near the back archway with a smug cold look on her face.

She pretended to be shocked while watching the paramedics get called by staff.

Evelyn: She probably just fainted because she was so nervous today.

George: This was not a faint someone put chemical in her glass!

Maya stepped forward out of the crowded group of frightened catering workers.

She held her smartphone tightly in front of her chest with clear determination.

Maya: I saw who tampered with that glass on the table sir!

Evelyn: Do not listen to this simple maid who wants easy attention!

Maya: I have clear high definition video proof on my phone right now!

George stood up from the floor and walked straight toward the brave maid.

The whole room stayed totally silent as Maya tapped her smartphone screen open.

The video clip began playing clearly in full daylight for everyone to see.

It showed Evelyn pouring the dark liquid into Clara's designated silver glass.

David stared at the phone screen in total shock and pure disbelief now.

David: Mom how could you do something so evil to my bride!
