Chapter 4 of 6
The Rich Socialite Tried To Evict An Honored Guest
Exposing The Greed
Maya turned her attention toward the grand podium at the front room.
She walked past the silent guests who parted the way for her path.
Officer Miller walked beside her to ensure nobody interrupted her movement again.
Victoria followed slowly behind, her face red with shame and deep regret.
Maya stepped up to the podium and adjusted the silver microphone head.
Maya: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to my grandfather's estate gala.
Her voice echoed clearly across the speakers into every corner of hall.
Maya: My grandfather built this company on honesty, hard work, and humility.
Maya: Yet looking around this room tonight, I see very little humility.
The wealthy attendees shifted uncomfortably on their feet as she spoke truth.
Maya: You saw a young girl in plain clothes and treated her like trash.
Maya: You did not ask my name or my purpose before passing judgment.
She pointed directly toward Victoria, who stood near the security guard.
Maya: Mrs. Sterling tried to physically remove me because I looked poor.
Maya: If I were truly a poor girl asking for help, would that justify assault?
The crowd remained completely silent under the weight of her powerful question.
Nobody dared to offer an answer because they knew she was right.
Maya: Effective immediately, all corporate board members will undergo character reviews.
Maya: We will no longer tolerate arrogance or cruelty in this organization.
A sudden wave of polite applause broke out from the back rows.
A few older associates who loved her grandfather began nodding in agreement.
Guest 1: She speaks just like old Arthur used to speak!
Guest 2: She has true strength, unlike these fake socialites!
Victoria felt her position in high society crumbling right before her eyes.
She stepped toward the podium in a desperate attempt to fix damage.
Victoria: Maya, please, my husband is your grandfather's senior vice president!
Maya: Then your husband should have taught you how to treat human beings.
Victoria: You cannot ruin my family over a minor misunderstanding!
Maya: Pushing me to the floor was not a misunderstanding, Victoria.
Maya turned back to Officer Miller with a calm and decisive look.
Maya: Officer, please escort Mrs. Sterling out of my house immediately.
Officer Miller nodded firmly and stepped toward the disgraced socialite woman.
