Chapter 4 of 6

The Maid Accused of Theft Revealed a Secret Video

Confrontation in the Hall

Daniel turned back toward Victoria with an intense fury burning deep within his icy blue eyes.

The room felt suffocating as the wealthy guests began whispering harsh comments about Victoria's shocking behavior.

Daniel: You framed an innocent worker who works tirelessly to support her sick family every month!

Victoria: Daniel, I only did it because you pay more attention to the staff than me!

Daniel: That is the most pathetic excuse for evil behavior I have ever heard in my life!

Victoria stepped toward him with hands reaching out in a desperate plea for forgiveness and pity.

Victoria: I was insecure and I wanted her gone so our house would be ours alone!

Daniel: You displayed a complete lack of basic humanity and simple moral character today in public.

He pointed his index finger directly toward the large wooden double doors at the front entrance.

Daniel: You framed her, the camera captured everything, and you are going to leave right now!

Victoria: Daniel, please do not break off our engagement over a simple servant girl!

Daniel: Do not ever insult her again or refer to her in that disrespectful tone!

Elena stepped forward quietly with her hands folded neatly in front of her white cotton apron.

Elena: Mr. Miller, I do not want to cause trouble between you and your family.

Daniel: You did not cause any trouble, Elena, but this cruel woman certainly did today.

Victoria looked around the room and saw the cold disgusted looks on every guest's face.

Her wealthy high society friends turned their backs on her as she tried to make eye contact.

She realized that her reputation in Dallas high society was completely ruined beyond any repair now.

Tears of absolute humiliation and panic streamed down Victoria's bright red cheeks as she backed away.

Victoria: You cannot throw me out in front of all our important business friends like this!

Daniel: I can and I will because I refuse to share my life with a malicious liar.

He walked over to the front door and pulled it open wide to the bright Texas afternoon daylight.

Daniel: Take your expensive purse and your diamond necklace and get out of my house immediately.

Victoria sobbed hysterically as she grabbed her things from the marble table with trembling hands.

She hurried past the crowd of staring guests with her head lowered in complete disgrace and shame.

The heavy oak door slammed shut behind her with a loud boom that echoed through the mansion.

A collective sigh of relief filled the grand entrance hall as the terrible ordeal finally ended.

Daniel turned toward Elena and took a deep breath to steady his own shaken emotional state.

He knew that he owed this hardworking young woman a massive apology for what just happened.
